Turned Edge Machine Applique: Easy as an Apple Tree

Thursday, June 22 | Class #116

No fusing. No glue. No satin stitch. No kidding. This class features an adaptation of my hand-applique technique, pre-turning the fabrics seam allowances on freezer paper templates, then stitching the edges down using the blind hem stitch on a domestic sewing machine. The results are beautiful and, yes, you'll have your picnic block completed by the end of the day. See the pattern here: UNDER THE APPLE TREE.

Yes, You Can Stipple!

Friday, June 23 | Class #220

This is a FUN and fast-paced class for beginners intimidated by the thought of machine quilting. Through a series of lessons using specific fabric and batting 'sandwiches' – each created to build your confidence – you'll be able to say "Yes, I Can Stipple!" and a whole lot more! Students will learn how to find their own rhythm without a stitch regulator. We'll discusses thread types, tension, and burying thread ends. The techniques used can be applied to your own domestic home machine.
