I'm pleased to present my newest quilt, "The Sentry of Santorini Island." I adapted this quilt from a photo given to me by my good friend Jeannie Spring, who lives here in Steamboat Springs, with her husband Gerry. They hail originally from New England, just like me. The photo was taken while on a family vacation to the Greek island of Santorini. I love the simple lines of the architecture and the colors of the buildings. I added the cat into the photo with Photoshop, to add an element of life. I started the quilt when I was artist-in-residence at the Empty Spools Seminars in Monterrey at Asilomar State Park in California.
